I don't really get their relationship. Like are they together? separated? divorced? The kid brother said they weren't together, but it seems like I've seen the mother say she loves him and he does live there. It also seemed to show that they both wear their wedding rings still. They do tend to treat him like shit though. He also seems to haven't been around for a few years before he reappears in the story.
