In 1938 it was home to Kathleen Tacchi Morris a silent movie actress ballerina and founder of the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre in Taunton. Her father was an inventor, adapting motorcycles with guns for the Army. In the Second World War The Women's Land Army were based in an annexe.

DIRECTIONS
From Taunton at the M5 junction 25 proceed east towards Ilminster passing through the village of Henlade and onto the dual carriageway filtering left at the apex and turn left again sign posted to North Curry.
