I love this real-to-life portrayal of “The Tortoise and the Hare.”I try to be like the Tortoise- continually moving forward. (Partly because I lack the Hare’s energy and spring at this stage of life 😉)

My newest morning ritual - penmanship. It’s not pretty, but there’s a good reason for all to consider handwriting. Penmanship, handwriting, cursive- whatever word you use- forces one to slow down and be more contemplative about the words. It causes you to reflect. It makes you meditate on what is being said. It facilitates learning. Take a few minutes each day to get away from typing and consider writing to enhance your learning.

When we began our adoption journey, my wife and I wanted a “rainbow” of the beautiful hues that God endowed mankind with. Little did we know he’d open our hearts to children with profound special needs. Whatever your adoption journey, it is a beautiful thing to provide an unwanted or unloved child(ren) a home. God bless this beautiful family!

The nice thing about these questions posed by the author is that they help ensure something fundamental to informed consent, and that’s:Shared decision making.
